6 years previous Software Development experience in a senior or lead role, (preferably as Manager or Director). Experience with IT Projects/ Application Development. Strong communication, management, and leadership skills. Resource and Project Management experience.

This position is responsible for activities relating to Software Development. Responsible for architecture, design, implementation and on-time delivery of quality software applications to the commercial market. Manages the development, use, and on-going refinement of SDLC standards and methodology for application software development. Manages onsite and remote employees.

Responsibilities:
-Manages the development, use, and on-going refinement of comprehensive SDLC standards and methodology
-Develop architecture that allows commercial applications to meet current business requirements and system goals while flexible enough to support future expansion; Develops standards and techniques to rapidly deploy solutions that ensure optimal application performance, compliance with defined specifications, and reusability.
-Attracts, develops, excites, and retains an outstanding group of individuals that as a team outperform the competition; Provides technical leadership, advice and assistance to staff, management and other departments.
-Meets business needs by coordinating and managing the activities of developers in the assigned work area; consistently delivering quality projects within defined time, budget, and scope; and resolving day to day issues, work-flow and business issues related to the team. Responsible for long-range planning, forecasting, and budgeting; applying industry best practices and process and tool experience to improve operations; and building and maintaining a supportive, cooperative and cohesive work environment.

Qualifications:
-College Degree preferred but will consider applicants with equivalent work-related experience with a minimum educational requirement of a H.S. Diploma or GED equivalent.
-Management Experience Required: Experience in all phases of the software lifecycle, successful production of software from start to finish, successful experience implementing development processes, experience with time/effort estimations, and large-scale projects; experience managing a remote staff preferred
-6 years previous Software Development experience in a senior or lead role.
-Proven experience and expertise Microsoft .NET technology (C#), relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle)
-Candidate must have a strong knowledge of system design and architecture, best practices, and methodologies, and solid knowledge and understanding of automated Quality Assurance systems.
-Strong communications skills; ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, and establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, other departments, and potentially clients.
-Strong leadership skills, ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment and effectively use time and resources to accomplish goals. Highly self-motivated, self-directed, and attentive to detail.
-Strong problem solving skills

Preferred Experience/Skills and Competencies/Knowledge:
-A Masters degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.
-Experience of managing large systems implementation and/or multi-product, single-code base applications
-Knowledge and experience in ISO 9000 standards and certification
